Visit kyoto in the early morning with my fishing kakis and started to fish before the worker started to work. Daryl introduces me to this spot n i was rewarded with 2 red snappers and for the rest of the session all fishes came from under the fish storage cage. Total i caught 8 while my other friends also had a good catch rate. =)

Offshore Fishing

This is the 2nd time i try offshore fishing off tuas water but bite rate is much much better than the first.
Giant garoupa weigh 10 kg n 15 kg caught by me and my uncle, the strength of the fish was unbelievable. My uncle got a bruised wrist after he was caught off guard by the sudden take haa lucky another guy take over the fight if not the whole rod would be down in the water. I try the same spot again n caught another giant woohoo this time i am ready n alert to fight the giant up... daiwa saltiga rod n reel put to real test....
Definitely aniticipating the next outing again ;)

spent the past 3 saturdays @ fw3 n i totally enjoyed my time thr... those fishes r so so powerful, after a fight my hand was shaking!...

1st trip: 1 chaopraya, 2 patins
2nd trip: 1 redtail catfish, 1 chaopraya, 1 patin
3rd trip: 3 patins , 1 pacu

will be back for seabass !!!

heard this spot from an uncle while i was fishing at cck canal... so went to recce n i am spot on.. wonderful spot with shelter from big trees...=) walked quite a distance n found out 2 uncles were fishing thr too, they caught 2 small soon hock n missed a big toman ... wasted! hmm i only caught one small toman with plastic lure... will be back for more !!!

went thr with 2 uncles, started with one rod coz bite rate was low and it remained for 2 hrs. I spent my time resting thr n enjoyed the fresh air haa both of my uncles gave up n gave me the rod... haa after my close examination of the situation , i tried one spot near to the bank with floater n prawn...
float gone down after 5 mins n zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz screaming of my reel wake every restless anglers in the pond.. yay! one big ang cho... re bait n return to the same spot.... again! an average ang cho... haa by the time thr was crowded with typical uncle...i passed the rod back to my uncle n he managed to get 2 more big ang chos...=) i saved the day!!

wow today is a day to be remembered. 14 peacocks and 1 toman + 4peacocks which throw hook and 1 big toman that ran away due to my mistake during the fight.

i used lure,goldfish and flies to catch them

while retriving back my line i nearly hook onto a plastic bag... guess what... it is a bag of hell notes =z no wonder my mum ask me dun fish during seventh month...

nvm i din do anything wrong so nothing to scare of haa

Army cohesion at hai bin u n that was the second time i had been ther. After hearing so many positive comments on the pond, my pictures tell it all haha... managed to catch one big prawn , should be 2 coz lost one big prawn as my line stuck under pipe...total catch 38..

Finally i caught something in the wild again! I broke my personal record of getting more than one fish haa it is pathetic but i jus dunno y i can onli get one fish... nvm thats history.... after i caught this peacock bass with yozuri lure, i got a toman by bait jus after i release the fish... haa so lucky... next target will be bigger toman n peacock bass.

For 5 weeks i din manage to get a fish , including a fishing competiton... it was very frustrating becoz no many wad bait n methods i jus couldnt get a bite... arrgghhh!!!...

I rest for 2 weeks and went back to pasir ris pond.. finally got 3 fish, ang kuay sea bass n ang cho...phew~ it is over...

Today i went ther again and things got even better, i caught 4 this time. 3 ang cho and 1 ang kuay. I am smiling again =)... haha hope this will continue and break my double digit mark...

Pasir ris Fishing Competition (21-03-10)

Came in 11th place out of 300+ angler with this 3.96kg snapper. The fight with this fish was never ending, it was the most powerful fish i every dealt with. Damn! top 10 will recieve prizes and i lost out by 0.03kg arrghh ! Anyway it was a nice experience and quite surprising to get 11th coz this was the first time i been to the pond.

Had a one hr session with my uncle, pond is very small which make casting very diffcult and fish r onli at the side. Those sea bass r weak too haa cant even hear the sound of the tension. I think the owner should release more powerful fishes in the pond or at least bigger sea bass. If nt tmj pond is going to lose out alot.

Andrew brought me to this place as he thought it as an potential ground. Reached ther @ 7am and met with 2 guys whom also going to fish ther. They told us there are sea bass n cat fish in ther but mus depend on tide level. Start to lure and can see small fish action on surface, after a few hrs no take at all and i lost my IMA Sobat arrgghh... coz of one pole in the water. Had a chit chat with the uncle and shared alot of info about the place, while talking he had 2 bites and they r all cat fish, one is quite big!

Left the place around 9 plus, travel to ah tiong pond and give it a shot. 2 hrs caught 1 ang cho and 1 indian then pass rest of 3 hrs to my uncle.

Rush down after my reunion dinner, we went to auntie pond to see if it is open but it din. So went to pp and when we reached ther, cab fare was 46 bucks haa. I caught 2 and uncle got one, haa he lost one big fish under the net coz he underestimated the power of the fish, the reel jus went screaming non stop! As for the 3 fishes , they were very strong fighters too.

First time to ed pro and i was quite excited about the place after seeing so many CRs from forum. Pond is quite small as compared to Ah Tiong's pond and there r so much sea weed inside which is quite irritating coz they will trap on ur bait. Bite rate is low so i was catching sun burn for 4 hrs and finally i found the secret to catch a fish. Throw ur bait on the net then cross over to the bridge and untie it then put beside the storage net haa when u walk back n u will get a bite. Uncle got 2 snappers and i got one indian and snapper.
Next week will visit kyoto =) Hope ah tiong pond can faster open.

Worse outing ever! 2 fishes onli and uncle broke his new rod and extended hrs too! Next week we will have a rest coz i have espzen match n namdai match so no time to fish. Hope we will get a better catch rate next time. Maybe we will visit kyoto haven after seeing good catch reports.

First session was horrible, my uncle caught 2 mangrove n me 0... but uncle lost 2 big take due to thin leader and he damn fed up! Haa extend 3 more hrs and it paid off. I caught 3 fishes and uncle got wad he wanted. BIG fish. A 4.5 kg seabass and it was a unique one coz it dun jump haa..

Bite rate wasnt very good until they release the fish and i lost 3 fishes and caught 3. Haa my uncle was a zero fighter under a hot sun which gave us sun burn. Tomoro we will be going to fish there again , and this time my uncle is equipped with a better rod n reel. He bought a shimano bassetera and daiwa fuego reel. Just now i also went to change my line to fireline so that it wun snapped easily. Hope i can get some groupa haaa...

Lost 3 fishes due to overwhelming of people and it is nt a fight against the fish but a fight against ppl beside u. First time fishing in this pond so still dunno wher r the good spots. Overall , it is a good place to fish and i will be back again. Onli bad pt is need to walk very far in unless u take cab or drive. Total 7 fishes , 3 by me n 4 by my uncle.

Pasir Ris Fishing Pond

Woke up at 6 plus then went to market with my uncle to buy kambong then took train to pasir ris. Supposingly, we planned to go to farmway 1 but the pond was closed for competition held next week. No choice so we went to fishing pond opp mrt station. No take for the first hour and the irritating thing was that there were so many small fishes feeding on my bait. I had to change a new bait after every 5 mins. Change to keitech shad impact and give it a try, fish on!! caught a golden promfret... haa quite stunned coz its mouth is so small but still able to set the hook.

Ringgg!!! fish release time, this time they released a few big ang cho. therefore change bait to fish meat. The problem still ther and i cant be bothered animore... suddenly float went straight down, hold on a few secs and fish on!!!! my reel went screaming and i knew it was the big ang cho. After 5 mins of great resistance i finally got it up. By the time my hand was shaking haha long time since a fish gave me such a great fight =)

Caught one more small ang cho jus 3 secs after i cast my bait... so fast ! My uncle managed to catch 2 mangrove jack and he missed a big angcho.. wasted~ A successful outing.. hope i can come out from camp on 24th of dec so i can join the competition at farmway1. $8000 worth of fish . A competition nt to be missed.

Set off at 730 with andrew to cck canal but this is a new spot introduced by an uncle i met at the canal. Explore the area and found a suitable place to cast. That place is muddy and invested with mosquitos but our passion keep us there haa. After many cast , there are no take at all and a boat came toward us so we rruuun.

Change location to mandai spot and we can see a few splashes on the water. The place is much more cleaner and water is clear too . haha we r so unlucky as pub boat came again !!! this time run we run real fast becoz it is easier for the ppl to alight as compare to the previous spot. ZZooom... we went to usr to have some peaceful fishing coz it is a legal ground. But i know it is hard to catch anithing from there. Hmmm ... onli have a bite on my lure but cant set the hook. Saw a toman by the shore but cant tempt it to whack my lure... So we call it a day

Bought this reel for $135, hope it can bring me more fishes haa... the interesting function from this reel is twitchin bar. It will auto reel in line when the button is pressed and it is to give the lure or bait a jerking feeling. Material used is good n solid and i like the design too.
Mondae i shall start my saltwater mission!!!

Went back to the spot this afternoon , hope i can get something from there but i failed again. Not much surface action from the fish. I think those tomans know we r getting them so they dun whack lures animore. As that place was once a very hot spot for anglers. NVM one day i will fish u up.

Hmmm... i think i shall proceed to saltwater fishing cause i have more or less completed those freshwater fishes. Species target: barracuda, seabass, grouper , snapper and queenie.

Later i will be getting a baitcasting reel so that i wun be using a baitcast rod with spinning reel. Had a few options in my mind and hope i can get a good deal.
